Ohio

Ash is very good at sharing he let Shea share his dinner the other night.  I think Shea likes the dog food better than her cat food

We were back on the road again with a trip out to Ohio to visit with Ash's mom and brothers.
In the ring for juniors on Sat.  there were 13 open seniors in a small ring so things were a little crowded but they made the best of it
Juniors ring on Sunday the boys looked great
I think this is the best I have seen yet from the pair they looked great

It wasn't easy to get 3 wiggly pups to stay still long enough to get a photo

Happy Birthday Ash, King, and Quixx

Remember the day they first met who knew a year later they would have come so far
6 months old and a visit home to see his brothers

We have traveled from Ohio to Colorado and everywhere in between

They have been in and out of the ring about 46 times for breed, 7 times for sweeps, 28 times for juniors, and 4 times for rally
They have been to puppy class, Advanced puppy class, confirmation, rally, and are now starting hunt test lessons
during this year there bond has grown
and Ash and Sammy are still the best of friends
I cant wait to see what the next year has to offer

Freeport

We went to Freeport last weekend.  It was cold and windy the building helped with the wind but not with the cold.  on Saturday Terry took the boys (I had to work) Ash was cold and stood there and shivered
On Sunday more of the same but Al has been working on improving in the juniors ring and he looked great (even with a shivering puppy) he managed to get 4th place in a tough class full of really great girls

Nationals

The boys have had some really great times in the past few weeks.  We went to Amana Iowa for 3 days of showing in the rain and thunderstorms. It was worth the delays and   wet dogs because at the end of the days Ash had his first point (yea) and his first Q in rally (awesome)

Now we are in Denver for Nationals.  We arrived on Tuesday morning and got checked in just in time for Al to get dressed and head into the ring for sweeps.  Ash and Al looked great in the ring but the judge liked the big dogs ( she doesn't know what shes missing) so nothing for my boys but that's how the dog show turns.
Day 2 brought the breed ring and a 2nd in the class for the boy's wow the judge said she loved his movement an would like to see some more dog ( that will come)
The boys in the ring waiting there turn

I think he was sticking his tongue out at the camera wearing his ribbon with pride

Hey Al do you still have some bait

After waiting for pictures Ash got some off leash play time with Al
Tonight is the junior parade and tomorrow morning is juniors (keep you fingers crossed)

Belvidere

This weekend was amazing for the boys they had a 2nd place placement for juniors on Friday at Belvidere they looked great and the excitement held on for the 4 hour wait till breed and then they took 1st in 6 to 9 month puppy dog with 4 pup's in the ring WOW
Saturday at the show was a little crazy sweeps and juniors were at the same time and the sweeps judge was in no hurry so the boys had to enter the juniors ring late the judge was great we told the steward of the confliction and he talked to the judge so Al could come in late but he felt rushed and you could tell.  He did learn from the experience and knows to take his time  and use the time the judge gives you.
After the show was the double bubble at Busch farm so we went there to learn about hunt tests
and see how Ash would do
He loved it he found 3 quail on Saturday and on Sunday there was one by the house and he went into a really nice point ( I didn't know he could do that)

They had many things going on Sunday one was an obstacle course so they ran that and came in 2nd for the novice group

He also got to play in the water and cool off

The whole weekend was enough to tire anyone out

A few buisy weeks

So the last few weeks have been busy with shows, classes, and work for me ( so glad school is out for Al)

We went to 2 days at Wheaton and had a great time got alot of great tips and meet a bunch of new people Ash and Al look better every time they go in the ring

We then had a great road trip to Ohio and stayed with Ruth and Ken for 3 days of dog shows.  it was fun to visit with Pam and Rhoda and everyone in Ohio for a couple days,  the really fun thing about that trip was that Terry came with so he finally got to meet everyone also.  He had a great time.
on Friday it was a Vizsla speciality so only Ash came with to the show
On Saturday there were some warm fuzzy blankets in the car with us
Al and Ash looking great in the Ring
In Juniors he got to show Moon

1st place 6 to 9  month puppy sweeps (yea)
The whole weekend was enough to wear the pair out
