his new goal is to make it to the master class I think he should have no problem making that goal

WOW what a week

The boys have had a couple great weeks.  The Sunday before we left for nationals there was a B match at Forest City Dog Training Center in Rockford.  They had 2 matches that day and  the boys made it to the best in match ring for both winning the second match.  What a great way to prep for the national show

Vizsla Club of America
National events in Huron Ohio

We arrived in Ohio on Sunday Evening and went to the play yard to let Ash run.  While in the run we met Bodi (an 11 month old Vizsla).  Bodi asked if Alex would take him in the show ring the next day.

Al and Ash entered in Rally and got the second qualifying leg toward there novice title
The judge had very nice things to say on the work they did in the ring

Then was time to work Bodi in the ring.  Al got Bodi about 10 min before going in and did a little work.  They went in the ring and looked great Bodi was on his best behavior for Al and they took first in the class (wow didn't see that coming)
Bodi and Al in the ring

Then into the ring with Ash and a 3rd place Yea for the Boys

The results for the week are

Rally Q and 2nd place in the class for Ash
Regional Show Bodi with Al 1st in 9 to 12 Mo Dog
Regional Show Ash and Al 3rd in Amature Owner Handler
National Show Bodi with Al 4th in 9 to 12 Mo Dog
National Show Ash and Al 2nd in Amature Owner Handler
National Show Al with Ash 4th in Junior handling

The whole thing tired Ash out

february more jr points

We had 2 days in DesMoines in February along with classes and more time to run at the park

Saturday Jr's Al got 4th we were hoping for a 3rd but at least they had fun

Before going into the ring on Sunday

The boys looking great in the ring on Sunday they got 3rd
Moving up the ladder on the way to the top
They can sleep anywhere as long as they have each other

I realized this morning that a 16 month old vizsla is alot like a 5 year old boy.  Alex had to be up  at 5am for baseball practice so Ash got up also.  As soon as Al was out the door Ash jumped into my lap on the chair leaned back and fell asleep in my arms.  I remember when Al was an age that he liked to do that.

January

The boys had 2 shows in January DesMoines and one day at Grayslake

We had a good time on the road in DesMoines Al got a 2nd in Juniors on Saturday and a 3rd on Sunday.  Both days the judges really liked the pair and had nice things to say to Al.

Not as good in breed but the dog that won each day was really nice.

At the Hotel there was plenty of bonding time

Ash makes himself at home in the hotel (what a good traveler)

Ash loves to go to the park and get some off leash running so we try to get him out weather permitting

He spends lots of time out there with his nose in the grass its cool to watch him

Grayslake was not great breed and Juniors were at the same time and there were 8 class boys so they had to show in breed or they would break the Major and we didn't want to do that but Al would have liked to show in Juniors since it was a judge he has shown to before

Ohio

Ash is very good at sharing he let Shea share his dinner the other night.  I think Shea likes the dog food better than her cat food

We were back on the road again with a trip out to Ohio to visit with Ash's mom and brothers.
In the ring for juniors on Sat.  there were 13 open seniors in a small ring so things were a little crowded but they made the best of it
Juniors ring on Sunday the boys looked great
I think this is the best I have seen yet from the pair they looked great
 Mom and the boys

It wasn't easy to get 3 wiggly pups to stay still long enough to get a photo
