waukesha

Well this was one of those tough weekends where your doing everything you can but nothing seems to be working Ash looked good but only a 4th place all weekend (3 days). Buzz looks great and the judges just seem to pass him over and no one can put there finger on why.  We have an Appointment with A handler we know this week so she can work with Al and Buzz and maybe figure things out.  Juniors was as rough as breed the judges just didn't seen to like him and other parents were saying they were surprised he didn't get a placement ( oh well ) I think sometimes weekends like this keep Al grounded and make him work harder he is really looking forward to working with Kris and learning some more from her and he also had several other people offer to work with him some everyone is so supportive
Ash on his down and back
 his free stack is awesome
Buzz on his down and back (it looks like they are in a hopping race)
Al and Buzz laying in the shade playing while waiting for juniors  on Saturday( the judge was 45 min behind) The long wait was to much for Buzz he was posting the whole time in juniors so Al just tried to make it fun for him
We found a really nice dog park and took the boys to run Sunday evening they had a great time playing and running with the other dogs
Buzz made friends with a golden named molly she wouldn't play with anyone else.  Her parents said they bring her to the park and she just lays down and watches the other dogs running and playing but this was the first time she got up and played and she would only play with Buzz they asked if we were coming back they wanted to meet up but I had to tell them we were from out of town
Buzz stacked for Al

A weekend off

Well the boys finally had a weekend off I think we all needed a break

with the heat so warm Al and I decided to take them to the lake to cool off.  At one point I thought Ash was gonna teach Buzz about the fun of running through the swamp but we managed to get there attention and both came back rather than chasing the ducks ( yea ) They both seemed to like swimming out and retrieving the tennis balls but with the water level low there was quite a bit of mud along the edges so when we got home they went right into the ex pen outside and then a bath before they came in the house.
This weekend we have 3 days in Waukesha Wis.  then 2 in west Burlington Ia.  hoping for some placements and maybe a point or two for both along the way oh yea and some more junior points for Al would be nice

Drum roll please

Introducing .....
Windrunners Ashes Ashes we all Fall Down  RN
all the hard work payed off this weekend Ash got his first title (more to come)
It was crazy on Saturday our friend Connie ended up taking Ash in to the breed ring Al was busy
in the juniors ring there was supposed to be half an hour between but as Al was getting ready to go in he looked up and said mom there is a Vizsla in the other ring.  I did the mad dash to get Ash and fortunately Connie said she would take him in.  Al took 2nd in juniors and Ash got 3rd in his class, Al made it to the breed ring with Buzz and was waiting to go  in when the rally steward came over and asked if he would be over soon ( yea Al can be three places at once) needless to say when Al did get to rally he was a little frazzled and it was an NQ ( we said that's OK there's always tomorrow and we were right)
 Buzz in breed on Saturday
when we got home some destressing with a good game of tug was just the thing
on Sunday after the rally Q Al and Buzz got another Juniors placement
it was fun to watch juniors in the middle of everything the judge called the kids in to talk and as she was talking she was patting buzz on the head and messing with his ear ( We are gonna look for a show with her as the breed judge she really liked Buzz)
after all the excitement the boys cuddled in the back
until Ash thought Al looked lonely and moved to snuggle with him

Agility class

We are having a great time in agility class.  I cant believe how quick the boys pick up on what they are supposed to to and how to do it.

we had a little 3 jump practice with the instructor at one end and handler on the other and had to get the dog's to go back and forth 3 times. They were to fast for my camera
 Buzz speeding through the jumps
Then we had a mini course this week they started on the table, through the straight tunnel, over a jump, through the curved tunnel, 2 more jumps and to the end.  here is Ash on the start line
hes so fast in the tunnel the camera couldn't catch him
and I missed him over the jump
Aha, caught him at the finish ( Ash is crazy fast)
Al managed to get a pic of Buzz coming out of the tunnel
and we posed Ash at the end of a tunnel ( I think this is the only way we will get any agility pic's)

sorry so long

We have had 3 weekends of showing since my last post.  I'm having some trouble loading my pic's from Ohio so I will get them loaded when I can

Iowa City Ash in the ring for breed
 Buzz, Iowa City
Buzz's exam in Iowa he works so nice for Al
Ash in the ring for juniors in Iowa they got 3rd place on sat and 4th on Sunday look out here they come
our next weekend was the Wis. specialty weekend here is Ash in for winners dog ( he didn't win what are these judges thinking )
day 2 Al took Buzz in for juniors after sat when Ash decided the juniors ring would be a great place to mess with Al.  every time Al would get him set he would look up and when he caught Al's eyes he would move a paw ( I think Ash was having fun messing with Al)
No placement on Sat with Ash but on Sunday with Buzz he took 2nd both days there were 7 in the class so this was a great win
working hard in the juniors ring
Buzz in the breed ring on Sunday he is looking good putting on some weight and more muscle he loves his magic meatballs
